Biodiversity is evident everywhere: 10,000 species of plants, 850 species of birds, 800 species of butterflies, 500 species of mammals, reptiles, and amphibians.

Mareas is located in "Playa Hermosa", on the southern Pacific side of Costa Rica, known as “Costa Ballena”. We are 10 miles south of a small town named Dominical and 3 miles north of Uvita, home of the "Whales Tail" reef.
